Psychosis

Faked or Flawed

“Computer,” said Zaphod, “tell us again what our present trajectory is.”

“A real pleasure, feller,” it burbled, “we are currently in orbit at an altitude of 300 miles around the legendary planet of Magrathea.”

“Proving nothing,” said Ford. “I wouldn’t trust that computer to speak my weight.”

“I can do that for you, sure,” enthused the computer, punching out more tickertape. “I can even work out your personality problems to 10 decimal places if it will help.”

Horsepower

Today I would have been riding this LiveWire electric motorcycle (100 hp) if it hadn’t been raining cats & dogs. Rescheduled for Tuesday. (That’s my 35 hp KLR650 behind it.)

Changing Weather

Go, eat your bread with joy and drink your wine with a merry heart, because it is now that God favors your works. Enjoy life with the wife you love, all the days of the vain life granted you under the sun. This is your lot in life for the toil of your labors under the sun.

Anything you can turn your hand to, do with what power you have; for there will be no work, no planning, no knowledge, no wisdom in Sheol where you are going.

EDGAR

Come on, sir. Here’s the place. Stand still.

How fearful and dizzy ’tis to cast one’s eyes so low!

The crows and choughs that wing the midway air show scarce so gross as beetles.
