Just about anything in a text file with an .html extension will show up in the browser when you double-click it. But, to start giving our web page some structure, write the code like this:

Most people don’t realize that they can easily write software for their computer. By typing simple lines of text into a desktop file they can start to build a complex program that runs their ideas with a press of the button. Modern browsers execute JavaScript code naturally. Nothing else is need besides a curiosity for what is possible.
